Video Presentations

Road trips and videos go together like peanut butter and jelly. Well, not quite, but you get the idea. This short presentation was created as a "teaser" for what will eventually become a full length presentation showing all the major league baseball parks.

Enjoy.

This is not your ordinary "home movie." I have produced several road trip videos that tell a story of the trip with pictures, video and music appropriate for the location or scene. This 11 minute video has been edited from its original time.

PRODUCTION NOTES: While booking transportation to the island, I came across the music for Starline. It had that vintage sound so I had to enhance the video in that section to give it that same vintage look. The bulk of the music came from the film "Somewhere in Time."

Graphics Promo Video

This was produced to promote a Graphic Communications program at a local Career & Technical Education Center. The introduction shows the history of the industry and follows with the areas that are taught within the program.

PRODUCTION NOTES: Photographs in the "Competitions" section are intentionally blurred for this site.

PRODUCTION NOTES: The preview card was created in InDesign and the titles were created using Live Type.

Formally trained in the Graphics and Printing industry, the transition into video came naturally. Many of the techniques used in the Graphic Design field convert nicely into motion - image composition and story telling for example. The following videos were produced and edited using Final Cut Pro. Any music editing was completed using Soundtrack Pro. Motion and Live Type were utilized for many of the titles.

2011 Angels

Produced for the South Suburban Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's Time for Hope Benefit. The Angels are those individuals who have passed away from this disease. In this years tribute video, I wanted to represent the photos as a memory book. The end of the video has the images as banners that are unfurled onto buildings that are lit in purple and then fly off. The original presentation had a running time of approximately 12 minutes. This has been edited for time.

PRODUCTION NOTES: Music choices are discussed with the client. All photographs are provided by the families. The general theme of the presentation is determined by me with final approval by the client.

Produced for the South Suburban Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's Time for Hope Benefit. The Stars are those individuals who are battling the disease. In this years tribute video I wanted to show how they are drawing on their strength and courage to win the fight, and the hope that one day a cure will be found. The original presentation has a running time of approximately 9 minutes. This has been edited for time.

For more than 30 years the Great Lakes Region of the Puppeteers of America has held a Puppet Potlatch - a gathering. This year, in addition to performing with the Melikin Puppets, I snapped more than 500 photos with the intent of producing a video copulation of the event. This trailer was used to promote the video presentation.
